7/25/2023 0 Comments Saints row 2 soundtrack![]() A list of songs that I think would fit the reboot's setting, some of the characters' motivations, and/or would just be good to cruise around town doing drive-bys to. Don't Fear The Reaper - Blue Oyster CultĪnd there you have it.Through The Fire & Flames - Dragonforce.Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benetar. That said, you might still see some names like Flo Rida or Pitbull crop up here or there. I don't care much for genres like rap or reggae. Now, onto a sample selection of tunes that'd personally make me happy if they were here. Ultor FM and The world had some pretty good bangers too. Easy Listening music is just great to vibe to, especially when you're running down streakers in a police cruiser. It'd likely never happen, but a man can dream.Īs for other stations, I'd like to see the return of stations like Ezzy. I could see a station dedicated solely to his best songs. 9 to 5 would be a fitting track given one of the motivations being paying a debt.Īlso, I think Ninja Sex Party would fit Saints Row like a glove. Badass tunes like Ring of Fire, Ghost Riders In The Sky, Big Iron, and some tunes from country legends like Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. To start, are there any new stations I'd like to see? Yes! Given the American Southwest setting, I'd love to see a station for timeless country classics. So I got to thinking, I'd like to make something of a wishlist for tracks in the reboot. I never come back to its tracklists like I do with SR2. There's a banging hit here or there, like Holding Out For A Hero, Fantasy, and You're The Best.īut overall? I barely remember the music from SR3, especially that lame Adult Swim station that could've been axed for better tunes elsewhere. There are 12 Radio Stations in Saints Row 2. Across every radio station in the game, I only added maybe 16 songs to the mixtape. Starting up SR3 remastered, one of the things I remembered being disappointed with aside from Steelport being a terrible open-world map was the music. And that's just on The Mix, GenX and Ezzy had some great tunes too. So, so very many bangers that I still come back to when I'm not playing SR2. Take On Me, Everybody Wants To Rule The World, The Final Countdown, Out of Touch, Don't You Forget About Me, etc. Saints Row 2's licensed soundtrack was honestly one of the best things about it. And the inclusion of 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' is a sure sign that the song's destined to be played over a slo-mo cutscene of something idiotic. The juxtaposition of the entirety of The Mix's playlist against the game's guns-and-dildos action is just going to be sublime/ridiculous.
